FCSD#1 Motto is ACHIEVE EVERY SUMMIT and I am a firm believer that the students in our district our doing just that. This has been accomplished by the tremendous efforts or our teachers through the support of district leadership, funding, and curriculum selection.
I will continue to work on holding our administrators and staff accountable for student success but equally as important to praise and honor them in this great accomplishments.
I will continue to collaborate with district staff to ensure we are providing the best possible educational opportunities for EVERY ONE of our students at FCSD#1.
I believe FCSD#1’s reponsibility in collaboration with students and families is to prepare our students for life beyond highschool. For many, this may be college, which means they need all the necessary course requirements and advanced coursework to pursue those avenues. However, equally important are our students who do not believe college is a path for them. These students need to be prepared for careers in the trades.
No matter their final destination we must equip ALL students with the SKILLS needed to be a successful and productive member of our society. This “soft skills” are essential and include; application of knowledge and critical thinking skills, resiliency, adaptability, life skills to be independent, the ability to engage in appropriate civil discourse, etc.
